Biography

Dr. Clements is currently involved with multiple aspects of project management at Axis Therapeutics, and has served a similar role in the non-clinical group at Athenex. Dr. Clements received his PhD (Cell and Molecular Biology) at the University of Vermont and completed postdoctoral training at the Universities of Iowa and Pennsylvania, where he studied molecular mechanisms of T cell development and T cell activation, with an emphasis on T cell receptor signaling. As an independent investigator at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (Buffalo, NY), he continued to pursue his interests in defining basic mechanisms of immune cell function and activation. Dr. Clements joined Athenex in 2008, where he has held multiple roles in R&D, non-clinical development of several drug candidates, business development, and project management.
